Seminar in Leadership Theory and Practice III - Introduction to Qualitative Research is a course with a practical approach to qualitative research for graduate students. The course will introduce you to the philosophy, politics, and techniques of qualitative research. Coursework will require you to think critically and to explore the assumptions you carry with you into educational research.
The course will serve as a learning space for your initial development as an EdD researcher and the expansion of your research ideas. This learning space will help nurture within you the capacity to (a) practice qualitative methods, including the fundamentals of data collection through interviews and observation, (b) discuss your evolving ideas about your research, and (c) to reflect on your emerging role as a researcher.
