EDST 401: The concept of STEM education will be explored including how this translates to actual classroom implementation of STEM as a metadiscipline. This course fosters the view of the STEM skillset as being integrated and interdependent, and as an essential element in real-world collaboration. Participants will also be introduced to materials and activities that emphasize STEM across the curriculum. Three hours of lecture or equivalent. 3 credit hours.

This course will focus on the current state of STEM in schools across grade levels, foundational frameworks and patterns of thinking, planning for STEM across subjects, experiential work with various STEM-centric tools, and project-based learning.
